From October 11 to 15, the world's largest and most important event for intelligent mobility and digitalization of the transport sector took place at the exhibition halls in Hamburg. For the first time, we at modility were not only attending a major trade fair as a guest, but also as an exhibitor - and we are very pleased with the outcome.
As one of 45 selected startups, we were part of the !TS Future Startup Area, where the most promising young companies in the industry presented themselves in an area of around 500 square meters. In addition to the stand itself, the organizers from Digital Hub Logistics had put together a diverse program of startup pitches, panel discussions and matchmaking events, where we were able to present our product and share exciting insights on current topics and trends.
Despite a total of around 10,000 participants, this year's ITS Congress took place under almost normal circumstances again thanks to 2G regulations. Modility Sales Manager Miriam Görg is satisfied with the congress week: "It was a great experience to be at a trade fair in person again and present our product to mobility & transport enthusiasts from all over the world."
After the congress was exclusively reserved for professionals from Monday to Wednesday, on Thursday also visitors were able to take a look into the exhibition halls and thus at the innovations of the industry. "In addition to potential customers such as freight forwarders, it was mainly people from the shipping industry and from the startup sector that we had exciting and constructive conversations with," reports Miriam. "The entire week was a real inspiration and important learning for us as a startup due to the direct exchange with customers and interested parties, new insights from the market and great events both on and off the congress."
"We wanted to particularly draw the attention of congress visitors to sustainable solutions for the logistics sector as well," says Managing Director Hendrik-Emmanuel Eichentopf. "Innovations for individual mobility, smart cities, etc. are an important part of the mobility transition, but they are not capable of solving our climate targets and infrastructural challenges by themselves. To do so, we must also take action in logistics by strengthening sustainable modes of transport such as rail. With modility, we want to make a contribution to highlighting this message in public and in the market, to shape a "new way of working" and "new way of thinking" in the industry, and thus to actively participate in realizing the modal shift."
We received a lot of positive feedback for our startup pitch, in which Sales Manager Michelle Friedrich presented modility in 180 seconds and answered questions from a jury panel of experts afterwards.
